The Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare are offering low-cost, take-home colorectal cancer screening kits to promote the need for early detection and diagnosis of this treatable disease. March is National Colorectal Cancer Month and throughout the month the Cancer Centers located at Flagstaff Medical Center, Verde Valley Medical Center - Sedona Campus and Verde Valley Medical Center will be provding screening kits for $15 from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Living with black bears:

- Attacks typically occur on people out alone; travel in groups.
- Keep garbage in a secure location; use a bear container if camping.
- Hang bird feeders at least 10 feet above the ground and away from buildings.
- Keep barbecue grills clean, remove fallen fruit and keep pet food indoors.
- If a bear is nearby, yell or make loud noises such as banging pots and pans or playing loud music.
- If you encounter a bear, make yourself look as large as possible and slowly back away. Don’t run.
- If you are attacked, fight back.
