Phoenix transit union says bus strike now 'very probable'

Phoenix transit union says bus strike now 'very probable': "The union representing more than 600 city bus drivers announced that a Phoenix bus strike "appears to be very probable" after ending negotiations with Veolia Transportation Services on Thursday.

Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1433 President Bob Bean said Veolia plans to implement its "Best and Final" contract offer that the group had overwhelmingly rejected in August.

The union is asking members to keep showing up for work now, but is telling bus drivers to come to a meeting this weekend for possible instructions on a work stoppage."
