Two arrested for 'Peaks' mud painting

Two arrested for 'Peaks' mud painting: "Two people were arrested for criminal damage on Monday morning after painting the word “PEAKS” in mud on various buildings around town.
At around 6 a.m., an officer saw a man and a woman walking off a privately owned lot at the corner of San Francisco Street and Cottage Avenue carrying buckets.
When the officer stopped the couple, he noticed the word “PEAKS” was written on the wall in large, brown letters and an altar had been made of corn husks.
The two admitted to painting a wall of City Hall, Heritage Square and Cline Library. In addition to the business owner and the City of Flagstaff, the Hopi Tribe is also listed as a victim in the case because they own Heritage Square.
The words "Protect the Peaks" had been painted in other locations.
Thomas Greyeyes, 22, of Flagstaff and Elizabeth Miles, 20, of Tempe, were arrested for criminal damage and booked into the Coconino County jail."
