Arizona is a 1940's western film about a drifter, played by William Holden, and the cavalry coming to the aid of the first woman in Tucson, played by Jean Arthur; to help protect her freight line.
Arizona was filmed almost entirely on location at Old Tucson, 201 S. Kinney Road, Tucson AZ. The opening shot shows a glimpse from Santa Catalina Mountains, Phoebe's home shows Rattlesnake Peak. Plenty of old , undeveloped views of Tucson to be found in this gem of a film. Definitely a western worth seeing. After all, how often do we see a tough female with the lead role in the old west?
Want to add the film, Arizona, to your Western's collection, too?
