In the loop: "FBO planned 13 trail-building events between April and October this year -- five of those were devoted to building sections of the Loop Trail. He and McGervey estimated that in the last three summers, volunteers have donated "thousands" of hours to the cause.
And, Quintile added, there is work to be had for people of all ages and abilities.
As to when the trail will be 100 percent complete, Quintile and McGervey were reticent to give a solid answer. Their best guess: three to four years, the trail would be complete.
"It just depends," Quintile said.
It depends on volunteers, on working with other jurisdictions and private land owners on securing trail right-of-ways, and on securing more funds for the heavy-lifting trail building.
