Guinea pig rescue - East Valley Tribune: Phoenix & The Valley Of The Sun

Guinea pig rescue - East Valley Tribune: Phoenix & The Valley Of The Sun: "Last week, Piggie Poo, Arizona's Small Animal Rescue picked up about 100 guinea pigs that will be in need of homes in the coming weeks. The guinea pigs, many of them sick or pregnant, were dumped at a California shelter by a local hoarder. They were transported from San Diego to Yuma and then to the PETCO at Tatum and Bell in Phoenix. Most survived and are on the mend toward healthy, happy lives.
According to a news release, Piggie Poo needs cash and gift card donations to help with veterinary care, pellets and bedding purchases, as well as fresh vegetables and fruits, hay, and penning supplies for foster families. Those willing to foster at least two guinea pigs for several months can apply for the foster program.
Visit www.piggiepoo.org for more information on how to donate, become a foster piggie-parent, or adopt one or more guinea pigs."
