Hawk affected by massive Arizona wildfire released - KTAR.com

Hawk affected by massive Arizona wildfire released - KTAR.com: "A young red-tailed hawk that was forced from its nest by a massive wildfire has been released after months of rehabilitation.

The Arizona Game and Fish Department freed the hawk Wednesday at a park in Goodyear.

The months-old nestling was found on the fringes of the Wallow fire that burned 538,000 acres in Arizona and New Mexico.

The bird was treated in June for dehydration and malnourishment at a treatment center in Eagar that was set up to help wildlife affected by the fire."
