Xoloitzcuintlis among 1,100 canines at American Kennel Club dog show Saturday - The Prescott Daily Courier - Prescott, Arizona: "Representatives of all of these and many more dog breeds will be among the 1,100 canines to take the field Saturday and Sunday at the Prescott Arizona Kennel Club's 53rd annual American Kennel Club championship show in Chino Valley. "

Spectators won't want to miss the behind-the-scenes action at the show as handlers groom their dogs to perfection and visit with each other. The vendor area yields the latest in leashes, collars, dog toys, grooming aids and canine art.

The show starts at 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at Old Home Manor in Chino Valley (go east off Highway 69 on Perkinsville Rd. and follow it to the Old Home Manor sign).

Admission is free, but for the safety and health of animals, the show committee asks that spectators not bring their unentered dogs.
