Higher tax bills ruffle East Valley homeowners - East Valley Tribune: Arizona: "Many East Valley homeowners who've suffered through years of lower property values have been getting a jolt when opening their mail and discovering substantially higher tax bills.
The higher bills have appeared in pockets across the Valley where property values declined the least. Some Mesa neighborhoods were especially hard hit, said Paul Petersen, a spokesman for the Maricopa County Assessor."
