Arizona bike-safety plan aimed at cutting down on fatalities

Arizona bike-safety plan aimed at cutting down on fatalities: "Arizona is one of the deadliest states in the country to ride a bike, but now the state has a plan to change that.

Last year, 19 bicyclists died and more than 1,500 were injured, according to new Arizona Department of Transportation statistics. Those figures mark an improvement from 2009, when 25 cyclists died and Arizona had the fourth highest bicycle fatality rate in the nation.

State officials believe they can bring that toll down even further."
