Around the Town: Gather wood for veterans

Around the Town: Gather wood for veterans: "M.A.N.A. Support Network, Home Depot, Northern AZ National Guard and NAU Veterans Services will be hosting the fourth annual "Keep the Home Fires Burning" event Saturday and Sunday. This yearly event provides free firewood to veterans, military and their families. Volunteers on Saturday will meet at Home Depot Eastside at 7 a.m. to go out, cut, gather, load and haul wood to the parking lot of Home Depot Eastside. Anyone with a chainsaw and/or truck and can help is asked to show up Saturday morning.
Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. will be the wood giveaway. Anyone wanting wood must have a military ID, DD214, or a current membership card to the American Legion or the VFW. Delivery will be possible to those who that can't physically load and haul wood. Delivery is dependent on the availability of trucks to haul wood. For more information, call M.A.N.A. Support Network at 714-1028."
