Around the Town: Nakai to sign CDs Saturday: "AAUW announces 2011-12 theme
The Flagstaff Chapter of American Association of University Women recently announced its theme for the year will be "Women Leaders."
Mayor Sara Presler will be the guest speaker for group's September meeting. The lunch will be Sept. 30, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the NAU 1899 Bar and Grill, NAU north campus. Parking is available across the street in the garage and is free with a validated ticket.
Upcoming programs for the year include the Flinn Foundation Leadership program, NAU women leaders in Science, the Flagstaff leadership program, Dr. Kathy Deasy on Women in Kabul, Women in the arts, and in February a presentation on Arizona's Pioneer Women, Flagstaff Library program and the Arizona Historical Society Centennial program.
