Don't Trash Arizona Design Contest: "Have you noticed that some areas have a lot of litter and trash? It's a big problem and now the Maricopa Association of Governments is launching a contest to help clean it up - and it's aimed at teens!

The Litter Bag contest for high school students is part of the Don't Trash Arizona program.

To participate, students can upload an original design to the program's website. The public will then be able to vote and if selected, the program will print winning design on its free car litter bags given out at local events.

The Association says the purpose of the contest is to engage teens about the negative impact of litter on valley freeways.

On September 15, the donttrashaz.com website will begin accepting the uploaded files."
