Edu-Prize student wins space camp scholarship - East Valley Tribune: Gilbert: "Ethan Hunt, a fifth-grader at Gilbert's Edu-Prize charter school, recently learned he won a scholarship to Space Camp for Interested Visually Impaired Students (SCIVIS) offered by the local chapter of Arizona for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired.
Ethan, 11, was diagnosed in first grade with retinitis pigmentosa, a degenerative disease that impacts peripheral vision at first and leads to blindness.
Space Camp will allow Ethan an opportunity to interact with other children his age who have similar impairments. He will travel Sept. 24-30 to Huntsville, Ala."
