Today's Weather Forecast in Arizona

Today's Weather Forecast in Arizona: "PHOENIX - The next low pressure system we are tracking is already causing showers and thunderstorms to pop up around Arizona and much more is on the way!

Early morning storms kicked out quite the lightning show near Black Canyon City this morning with New River picking up 0.08" of rain.

Storm chances stand at 50% across most of the state today with rain expected first in the higher elevations, eventually moving into the Valley late this afternoon and evening.

Some of the storms that pop up will be strong, if not severe, kicking out very strong wind gusts, heavy rain and even hail. At this point, it is looking more likely to see the stronger storms pop up on Saturday evening."
