FREE films to celebrate Valley theaters: "PHOENIX - An Arizona owned and operated theater chain is celebrating its 78th anniversary with free movies , popcorn (with a newspaper coupon) and drink upgrades.
Harkins Theatres wants to thank "loyal moviegoers" at its 10 Valley locations for the next week with movies you may have missed earlier this summer.
Beginning Friday, Sept. 9 through Thursday, Sept. 15, Harkins Theatres will offer select films at Arizona Mills, Arrowhead Fountains, Chandler Fashion Mall, Christown Spectrum Mall, Gateway Pavilions, Norterra, Santan Village, Scottsdale 101, Superstition Springs and Tempe Marketplace."
The films being shown for free include: Fast Five, Mr. Popper's Penguins, X-Men: First Class, The Lincoln Lawyer, Soul Surfer, Rio, The Adjustment Bureau, Thor, Limitless, Just Go With It, Limitless, Super 8, and Larry Crowne.
You'll need a coupon for free popcorn Sept. 9 through Sept. 15, and between Sept. 16 through Sept. 29 get a free drink upgrade on any size, regularly priced drink and will include a free refill for large or extra-large drinks.
