DPS morale committee suggest leadership shake-up - CBS 5 - KPHO

DPS morale committee suggest leadership shake-up - CBS 5 - KPHO: "A committee charged with coming up with recommendations to improve morale at the Arizona Department of Public Safety has turned over its report to the head of DPS.

DPS Director Robert Halliday established the committee in July after an employee survey revealed morale at DPS was in the toilet.

The survey was commissioned by the Fraternal Order of Police. Both civilian and sworn personnel responded to the survey. Approximately 500 of the 1,600 full-time employees took part.

Respondents were asked to rate the morale at DPS. Sixty-six percent rated it "extremely low," twenty-nine percent said it was "low." Of the five-percent remaining none of the respondents chose "high" or "extremely high." The last five percent rated morale as "average.""
