Flagstaff - Worldwide Day of Play celebrated Saturday

Around the Town: Worldwide Day of Play celebrated Saturday: "Kids of all ages are invited to a play date Saturday on the Worldwide Day of Play. The City of Flagstaff Recreation Services wants kids to "Get Up, Get Out and Go Play" Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at City Hall (211 W. Aspen Ave.).
The Worldwide Day of Play is an entire day dedicated to active play with local activities including a bounce house, obstacle course, croquet, three legged races, water games and much more. On the Worldwide Day of Play, the children's television station, Nickelodeon, goes completely "dark" for three hours, turning off all programming. The city of Flagstaff joins more than 3,500 similar local events in all 50 states. All activities are free. For more information, call 213-2300 or visit flagstaff.az.gov/recreation."
