"Winter gear swap this weekend
Winter's right around the corner and it's time for the 45th annual Flagstaff Ski Club's Ski, Snowboard and Winter Clothing Swap and Sale. New and used ski and snowboard equipment, clothing, including jackets and gloves, will be under the big tent today, Saturday and Sunday in the Chili's Grill & Bar parking lot at 1500 S. Milton Road.
Local vendors Ski Haus, Flagstaff Sports Exchange and Aspen Sports as well as Ski Pro from the Valley will be offering new and used equipment at reduced prices. Register to win prizes and learn more about the Arizona Snowbowl, Durango Mountain, Taos and Telluride resorts."
The public is welcome to bring in equipment for sale. Equipment must be checked in today
from noon to 5 p.m. The Ski Club will sell it and keep 25 percent. The money raised will
support the local kids' ski racing program, a non-profit youth sports organization.
The swap is open to ski club members only today from 6 to 7 p.m. (you can purchase a
membership at the door) and to the public from 7 to 10 p.m. for $5 per person or $10 per
family. Admission is free Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
