Lake Powell Chronicle Candidates head to Big Water election

Lake Powell Chronicle Candidates head to Big Water election: "BIG WATER — Nearly half the town’s registered voters turned out Tuesday night to participate in the primary election.

Forty-seven percent of registered voters helped narrow down the field of candidates who are vying for two open town council seats.

Both Levi Banfill, who was appointed to his council seat about 2 years ago, and Keith Crowley, who was appointed about 3 months ago, are hoping to keep their seats on the board.

Sheri Hill, who served one term as a council woman more than a decade ago, also is running for one of the seats, along with newcomer Heather Rankin.

Doug Taylor also pitched his bid, but was knocked out of the race with Tuesday’s primary election."
