Mesa
What is the prayer walk? The Christian community, coming together, encircling the city of Mesa; in prayer on a specified time and date in January. The event is founded by Brant D. Baker. Baker is pastor of the First Presbyterian Church and feels a prayer walk for the city is a great way to start the new year.
Mesa Prayer walk has a vision. The vision, for the Christian prayer community to encircle the city of Mesa, in prayer, for spiritual protection, political wisdom and economic prosperity in the coming year.
The Prayer? That God will "shower" the city of Mesa with blessings along with the "Ancient Enemy" being put to flight and that Jesus will be "magnified" as Lord and Savior of the people.
The Project? To assign one church per mile, in a perimeter, creating a community of faith among those that agree to walk and pray in their assigned mile in January on Sunday the 8th @ 3 p.m.
The Witness? The org. imagines the questions that will raise in the minds of citizens, as hundreds walk in prayer , on this day in January. Believing that it is most likely God will take advantage of this city prayer circle and spark "meaningful conversation" with non-believers covering the "power of prayer" being offered in the name of Christ.
You can register your church to walk one or more mile segments by clicking the green button on the Mesa Prayer Walk Map page and filling out the information - voila!
