Open house for animal shelter - East Valley Tribune: Our Community: "It's just a couple more weeks until the open house for the new Apache Junction Animal Control facility. The open house, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 8, will include pet adoptions for 50 percent off.
A group of citizens, in collaboration with Kuranda Dog Bed Company, are working to secure beds for the cats and dogs housed at the facility. But, according to a news release, while the shelter accepted a donated bed from the group, Apache Junction Animal Control is not soliciting or accepting donations for the project.
