A howlin' Halloween

Happy Howl-a-ween! - East Valley Tribune: Our Community:

You may love it when little goblins ring your doorbell and shout "Trick or treat!" but what

about your dog?

The scary sights and sounds of Halloween can spook dogs, so the Arizona Animal Welfare

League and Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is offering workshops to help dogs

and their owners have a happier holiday.
The classes provide practical advice for dealing with a dog's reaction when trick-or-

treaters come to the door, as well as other safety tips
"A $40 workshop is being offered 1 to 3 p.m., Oct. 8 at the AAWL & SPCA Education Center, 40 N. 30th Place, Phoenix. And, a shorter $25 version will be offered 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and 2:45 to 3:45 p.m., Oct 29 at the center. Owners should bring their dogs.
